The Midlife Experience: Southern New Hampshire's First Immersive Menopause and Women's Health Event

Menopause is having a moment. And we are here for it.

If you've been searching for women's health events in New Hampshire that actually talk about perimenopause, menopause, and hormones in a real way, you're not alone.

Women across southern NH are looking for something more than a pamphlet and a shrug. That's exactly why Ember created The Midlife Experience, happening Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 5 to 9 PM at LaBelle Winery in Amherst, New Hampshire.

Part girls night. Part wellness playground. Part real talk about all things midlife. Here's why we're doing it, and why you should be there.

Why Menopause Is Finally Getting the Attention It Deserves

Millions of millennial women are reaching perimenopause right now. And unlike the generations before them, they didn't quietly accept "that's just part of getting older." They took to social media. They searched for answers. They shared their stories with each other, and they started demanding better from their doctors and their pharmacies.

And it worked.

Over the last few years, we've seen dramatic changes in women's midlife care, especially when it comes to access to hormone therapy:

  • 2022: The North American Menopause Society (now The Menopause Society) updated its position statement, stating that hormone therapy is generally safe and helpful for healthy women within 10 years of menopause (or under age 60) for treating hot flashes, night sweats, and other menopause-related symptoms.

  • 2025: The FDA moved to remove the black box warning from menopausal hormone therapy products. That warning scared women and providers alike away from treatment for more than two decades.

  • September 2026: The FDA held a public workshop on testosterone use in menopausal women, bringing together providers, researchers, and women from across the country who are advocating for testosterone's benefits in perimenopause and menopause. Right now, there is no FDA-approved testosterone product for women. Women only have access to men's formulations at their local pharmacy, and advocates are pushing for that to change.

Providers from all walks of life are getting involved. Change is happening.

The Gap Between New Guidelines and Real Life

Here's the problem. Despite all this progress, there's still a huge gap in education and understanding.

Women want better for themselves, but too often they're finding they know more than their providers. Updated position statements have helped, but actually applying them in the exam room still feels ambiguous. Women are walking in with questions like:

  • Am I a good candidate for menopausal hormone therapy (MHT)?

  • When should I start?

  • What labs should I be tracking?

  • How does menopause affect my body and my life overall?

  • And what can I actually do about it?

These are real questions, and women are hungry for real answers. So Ember decided to bring it all together in one room.

Women Are Craving Community

The years of isolation the pandemic brought are long gone, and people are craving connection. Not another Zoom. Not another comment thread. Elbow to elbow, looking each other in the face, feeling each other's smile.

In fact, strong community is one of the reasons often credited for the long, healthy lifespans seen in the world's Blue Zones. Connection isn't a nice extra. It's part of health.

Women want to get together. So let's get together.

What Is The Midlife Experience?

The Midlife Experience is the first event of its kind in southern New Hampshire, built entirely around the menopause transition.

This is not another vendor event with folding tables and sales pitches. These are immersive, hands-on stations designed to help women learn, explore, and get introduced to concepts they may never have heard before. Whether you're in perimenopause, deep in menopause, or just starting to wonder what's ahead, this night is for you.

Immersive Wellness Stations

Stations will include:

  • Pelvic floor health

  • Acupuncture

  • Meditation

  • Midlife vitality checks

  • And more

The Hot Flash Lounge

And then there's Ember's signature station: the Hot Flash Lounge. All vibes. All her. Come relax, take a breath, snap a photo, and soak it in.

Spoiled From the Moment You Walk In

Consistent with how we care for patients at Ember, we plan to spoil the heck out of our attendees. Expect:

  • Gift bags

  • Welcome wine

  • Plenty of bites throughout the night

  • Experiences and moments that will stick with you long after you leave

An Expert Panel on Menopause and Midlife Health

We're setting aside a full hour for our expert panel, but most importantly, for you. You'll hear from hormone, pelvic, and holistic specialists who focus on caring for women in midlife.

Then we're opening it up to you. Bring your questions and get loud! Chances are any question you have, your neighbor has too. Let's learn together in a safe, empowering environment.

Shopping With Purpose: Supporting Dismas Home

Ember is grateful to fundraise for a local charity, Dismas Home, which is focused on caring for New Hampshire women in recovery. It's an often-forgotten group, and one that deserves care.

Why Ember Created This Event

The Midlife Experience exists because nothing else like it does.

It exists because women need it.

It exists because women are demanding it, and Ember is answering that call.
